Welcome to the Second part of how to build a simple UHF radio link here we will be building the unit and connecting every thing up to get it working first time.

This is the Finished Unit I have tested the unit and it works fine.

10). Now take out the Receivers out of the box and take out the Screws from the Mains remote control Sockets see photo below.

Here is what the unit looks like when you take the case off the Receiver you can see the red LED light on the front this will be our power supply see the photo below for the front of our Receiver

11). Now in the photo above take out the two screws and cut the Black, Red & White wire at the back of the Circuit we don't need them as we will be using a portable power supply.

12). Now in the photo below solder one black wire to the two resisters see photo below.

Also look at the photo below and connect the Red wire to the middle of the back of the green circuit

13). Now we will need to solder two wires to the LED on the green circuit see photo below solder the wires the same way I have here and it will be right.

14). Now solder the black wire to the Emitter of the Transistor or E. Now solder the Red wire to the 2k2 Resister of the Transistor or B.

15). Now we will test our two devises out to see how they work connect one PP3 battery to the clip on the green circuit and one PP3 battery to the Simple switch Circuit.

16). Now see the photo below of my own testing of the devises working if every thing went well the LED should be going on and off and the second Circuit show be switching the relay on and off at the same time as the LED is on and off.

17). Now with your remote control transmitter push one of the buttons on and the LED will start to flash and the relay will switch faster then it will go off.

18). Now all you need to do is press the same button again and it will turn your devise on and to turn it off just press the off button next to it.

19). Now all you need to do is connect the Negative part of your devise to the end of the contact at the end of the relay and now you have a load added with a simple UHF radio link see photo below.
