$15,000. U.S. Magistrate Judge Carolyn Ostby on Thursday sentenced Ronald
Eugene Tibbetts, 61, to six months of unsupervised probation and ordered
him to pay $15,000 restitution. There was no fine.

High Court Judge, Judge Wyn Williams today upheld the criminal conviction
of Quantock Straghounds officials Richard Down and Adrian Pillivant who
were found guilty of breaching section 1 of the Hunting Act by chasing
deer with hounds on 16th February 2006. Anthony's

becoming an increasing problem across the world, but it is most troubling
in Africa and Asia. Tigers are sent to meat markets; elephants are

crossing farmland. More and more animals are becoming extinct as a result.

Supporting the Kyiv Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA-SOS) Naturewatch
has always been disgusted by the poor management and lack of acceptable care for
animals at Kyiv Zoo. Despite several meetings over the years, lobbying by Kyiv
SPA "SOS" at various stages and the involvement of EAZA (European
Association of Zoos and Aquaria), it's very disappointing, though unsurprising,
that nothing much has changed. The latest report from Kyiv is absolutely tragic.
