Cumbrian hunt follower fined over attack on fox. In a rare successful hunt

Rhino poaching has increased drastically in South Africa over the past three

Northumberland Police are appealing for information after rare birds were
confirmed as being poisoned in West Northumberland. In February officers were
called to a report of two dead Red Kites found on farmland in the Steel area of
Hexham. PC Michael Brown, Wildlife Crime Officer for West Northumberland,
examined the birds and couldn't find any trace of gunshot injuries.

The Oscar winning documentary The Cove is to be shown in Japanese cinemas for
the first time. The film is about dolphin hunting in Japan. Earlier plans to
screen it there were scrapped after cinemas were targeted by demonstrators. The
screening will take place in Theatre Image Forum a tiny arts cinema in the

Undercover
investigations form a vital part of the League's overall campaigning strategy to
abolish blood sports and tackle wildlife crime. Without these investigations,
MPs, the media, League members, supporters and the wider public would not be
aware of the nature and scale of wildlife persecution.
