Welcome to the Second part of the very simple Humane mouse trap  Global GSM transmitter Project.

12). Now on this page we will look at modifying a cell phone with one touch dial on it.

13). First take your mobile phone screws out you will see the pads below solder a wire to the number you have set up for the mouse trap to call when activated using the one touch dial on the mobile phone see photo below.

14). Now when you come to fix your wires to the pad put one wire in side the pad and using your soldering Iron push down on the wire this will heat the solder so it fixes to the pad do the same with the next bit of wire but connect this to the outside pad see photo below.

15). Now when you have soldered your two wires to the pad you will need to use a glue gun or some thing similar to fix the wires to the circuit see photo below.

Then put your screws back in the mobile phone when the glue is dry and put the case back on your mobile phone.

16). Now with the end wires from the cell phone we need to solder them to the jack plug see photo below on how to solder them.

Please note it does not matter witch way the wires are solders to the jack plug for this project.

17). Now you will need to put the cover back over the jack plug now that is the phone done.

18). Now we will look at setting up the mouse trap with the reed magnet using a glue gun or some thing similar glue your small magnet to the trap door of the mouse trap see photo where to glue the magnet below.

19). Now we will add our 3 Pin reed Switch to the Matrix Board please note be careful when you bend the pins of the reed switch see photo below where to put the reed switch on the board.

In the photo above you can see the magnet and the reed switch come together when the trap door closes.

20). Now we will need to add our 3.5mm Jack socket on to the Matrix Board see photo above using a glue gun, glue the 3.5mm jack socket to the Board.

21). Now we will need to solder one pin of the reed switch to the top of the 3.5mm jack socket solder the reed switch with one pin at the end of it first see photo below.

In the photo below you can see I soldered one pin to the top of the 3.5mm jack socket

Now you will need to solder the smaller pin on the second end of the reed switch to the bottom of the 3.5mm jack socket see photo below.

Now all that is left to do is put some bait in the trap and see if you get your mouse I have trapped 3 with this design now and got the phone call as well.

Please note the call should not cost you any thing set the incoming call name as mouse or trap when it rings your mobile phone it will display the name just disconnect the call as you know you have a mouse in your trap.
