Welcome to the Second part of my popular GSM monitored alarm add on here we will connect every thing up.

19). Now by this time you would have modified your Cell phone and added your number you want the cell phone to call.

In the photo above you can see the finished unit the units will need to be put where it would not be moved.

The following list is the items you will need to build the project up and how to order them.

20). Now the battery holder in my case this will be a two AA holder you may need a bigger or smaller battery holder check out Maplin electronics for battery holders: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?menuno=77843

The batteries will depend on the type of recorder you use for the project, It would be best to use some thing like Lithium batteries as they have a long shelf life don't use rechargeable Batteries as they will discharge over time as the Batteries will only be used when the security system is activated the Batteries will last years.

21). You will also need one 12 volt relay double pole see photo below the current rating of this relay is more than we need for this project but it is cheap and simple to connect up to our cell phone and cassette.

22) You can get this relay from Bits box UK they do ship international as well or get a similar one from your own country order code: DPDT 8A 12Vdc Relay Item Number SW053 Web site: http://www.bitsbox.co.uk/relays.html

23). You will also need one small diode order code 1N4001 Rectifier Diode 1A 50V: Web site http://www.bitsbox.co.uk/diodes.html

24). Now you will need some Bell wire 4 core will do fine for this project as you will only be using the Black and Red wire to turn on the Relay you can get this from most DIY shops.

If you do not want to have the cell phone and cassette some way from your alarm Panel then you may be able to solder two wires to the back of your cassette speaker or out-put socket that is used for head phone.

Take this cable and connect it to your cell phones own microphone inside the cell phone remove the phones microphone but be careful this would stop any back ground noise from entering the phone.

In the photo below we will start off building the kit up first start with the relay and solder the diode over the front end of the relay like in the photo below.

In the photo below solder the black wire from your battery holder to the middle pin.

Now in the photo below solder a scrap bit of black wire to the last pin same side on the relay.

In the photo below I used a cassette recorder look at the battery department this will have two wires coming from the springs one red one black.

In the case of a bigger cassette recorder or radio cassette recorder player just take the back off it and solder two long wires to the spring connectors in the back one red and one black.

In the photo above you can see a simple cassette recorder player.

In the case of a mini recorder like I used this took me more time to do.

You will need to take out the electronic circuit and cut the black and red wire from the battery springs when you have done this connect a longer red and black wire to the wires.

In the photo below you can see the red and black power wires with my longer wire fixed to them.

In the photo above solder the two wires and put some PVC tape on them.

Now in the photo below you can see the wires coming out the bottom connect the black wire to the connecter block like in the photo below and connect the black wire from the back of the relay to the block same side.

In the photo below you can now see I have fixed my modified cell phone to the opposed side of the relay. You will also need to add your bell wire to the diodes pin outs the red wire goes to the Silver band on the diode and the black wire goes to the opposed side of the diode.

In the photo above you can see My bell wire going to the diode on the relay.

25). The best of it is you can use a relay with more contacts to do more things or you may like to add a second modified cell phone like I did here so if one network was down you would have the back up of a different network. http://www.anthony-dacko.net//TWO-PHONE.C.htm
